a new paradigm for change
Seven years ago, I'm not sure I would have jumped at this opportunity.
A new mom, drowning in sleep deprivation, overwhelmed with anxiety and just barely surviving.
I felt alone and like I was the only one struggling.
What I needed was community, what I craved was for someone else to say, this is hard because it is hard, and what I was missing was tools.
.
Four years ago, I'm not sure I would have jumped at this opportunity.
When I started my business (and pretty much every day since if I'm being honest) it was a lot and every week I doubt if I'm doing the 'right' things.
What's supported me are friends also building their businesses, surrounding myself with other humans doing hard things and finding a spiritual side of me I never saw coming.
.
Three years ago after losing two family members while I was pregnant, I'm not sure I would have jumped at this opportunity.
Grief and fear were palpable down to my bones and the only thing left to do was surrender.
What stopped me from drowning was a coach telling me: You think you're alone but you aren't. Reach out to a friend right now.
.
These specific circumstances are mine but I am not alone in knowing the feelings, experiences and support that can come from such defining moments in our lives.
It's why I created multifaceted.
.
When we are going through change, difficult times, trying to bring in a new habit in our lives, survive, there's a lot of normalizing around that difficulty and it's necessary.
I'm here, though, to start talking about the community to hold us, to tell us we aren't alone and there's nothing wrong with us and then to explore tools to take us from surviving to thriving.
There's enough despair and hurt in our world.
Let's start taking care of ourselves so we can do something about it.
.
There's a time to rest and there's a time to bloom.
What if you're ready to bloom?
